Welcome to our Trevignano Romano house immersed in lush woodland just a few minutes from Trevigano Lake. Roberta weaves and I, Giulia, paint watercolors, and we’d both be delighted to share with you our beautiful and somewhat surreal home. The protagonists in our cuisine come from the vegetable garden and orchard that I care for and look after. Roberta combines twenty years of experience in restaurants with her own personal gastronomic research to then transform them into exquisite dishes. Wild herbs and flowers gathered locally are often key ingredients. And whatever we don’t grow we acquire from friends’ farms in the neighborhood. Our menu is dictated by the seasons, by time and by our own moods, and, thus, at times, can be unpredictable! Directions from Trevignano Romano: From Piazza Vittorio Emanuele (town hall square) take Via Mosca. After 1.3 kilometers turn right onto Via della Macchia. Follow Via della Macchia until the end, where it will merge with Provincial Road 12d (also known as Via Sutri). At the fifth kilometer marker you will see a large plant nursery. Take the steep turning just before the nursery, signposted Monte Guerrano. At the gate ring the bell marked “Fontana”. Follow the principal road through the wood until you reach house number 30. Google maps provides directions as far as the nursery.
